I certainly welcome this shift but…we know that the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train! They need to be able to say climate change is bollocks to justify the waste of natural resources on their precious data centres…but they will still want to curb our use of natural resources, now being for this particular “greater good”. So all the restrictions brought in for the sake of climate change can seemlessly be continued in the name of AI/survelliance/digital ID.
Writing for the UK digital/15 minute city Hellscape, did you know that they are deskilling the medical profession here? We have out of work Drs while the Gov is promoting the use of other clinicians like nurses, paramedic, pharmacists to do the work of General Practitioners and hospital doctors. Highly paid, as well.
